What is CSS?

Start by thinking punk rock, and add a dash of disco meets Surfer Blood with lively lyrics about sex and dancing and you get six very creative Brazilian's known as CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy). CSS came to be thanks to the underground club scene and that thing everyone seems to love these days- the Internet. The name which literally translates into "tired of being sexy" comes from a quote by Beyonce, who reportedly said she was "tired of being sexy- OK B. Signed with record label Sub Pop in 2006 and with friends like Diplo and Ladytron, it was with no surprise that their first album "Cansei de Ser Sexy" went to sell over 50,000 copies internationally by 2007.
